For example, Tekken 7‘s Denuvo DRM was cracked in just four days. While I understand that companies are scared of their games being massively pirated, especially a title like Sonic Mania which is only a mere 300mb in size, they got to understand that there isn’t a DRM in the world that will keep pirates out long term. I think the biggest insult for people was SEGA not mentioning the unpopular DRM on their store page (later updated), only having people purchase the game before finding out Denuvo was included. But I'm frequently attacked by the likes of you when I point out where your logic is failing you.As you might have seen on the interewebs, people weren’t too keen with SEGA’s decision to put Denuvo DRM in Sonic Mania for PC. I actually don't give a crap about Denuvo. Call me a shill, say I'm defending Denuvo, do whatever you want, I think you are so far gone as I said, that anyone who has information running contrary to your own has taken a side in an issue. I've been giving you factual information to make you a better informed consumer so that you don't have these stupid tiffs in the future. ![]() Publicado originalmente por Kaldaien:What makes you think I'm defending Denuvo. ![]() So far, you just been ignoring the issues that other people bring up with Denuvo. Perhaps you don't know what the word "defend" is? Maybe you should go look it up. and for what? People are legitmately upset with the issues it creates for them, and you try to place the blame on Steam. You've done nothing but try to defend them. The only one who is looking foolish here is you. Pull your head out of your butt, please :) You're so far down the anti-Denuvo crazy train that anyone who points out problems with your statements has taken one side or another on the issue you care about. What makes you think I'm defending Denuvo. This does not raise consumer confidence, and it is clearly alienating some who would make a purchase. It places additional locks on LEGAL consumers who support the gaming market. ![]() Seriously, why are you defending Denuvo on this? They are rising the cost of games as an unnecessary, additional expense for the publisher. Publicado originalmente por Kaldaien:Did you not get mine, that Denuvo isn't the game's DRM? Denuvo may have built their software to work in conjuntion with Steam, but Steam does not pay Denuvo's DRM to be included with their games! This was Sega's choice to include it, and from what I hear the game is already cracked! Not all Steam games use Denuvo, and Sega of Europe came out announcing that they wanted the additional DRM in place for their titles. The activation allows encrypted portions of Steam's DRM to run in a unique way on your computer, to make any attempt to bypass Steam's DRM specific to your computer. Denuvo will unconditionally activate your game (even if you don't own a license to it) so long as you haven't tried to re-activate more than 5 times in a day. Do you not comprehend that my issues is with Denuvo locking me out of my game?!? Steam has yet to do this, but like it's forebearers, (Windows LIVE and Securom) Denuvo is an unwanted/unnecessary piece of software that gets in the way of a consumer's purchase! Did you not get mine, that Denuvo isn't the game's DRM?ĭenuvo secures SteamWorks DRM so that it cannot be removed easily.
